To ensure that your guests can always get into your units, we have a backup lock code system in place.

How backup lock codes work

Our guest lock code automation attempts to set the unique guest code to the lock 10 minutes before check-in. If the lock is offline at this time and we are unable to set the code to the lock, we send the guest the backup lock code. Since the backup lock code was already on the lock, the guest will be able to use it to get in.

When the lock comes back online, we set a new backup code to the lock to use the next time we need to.
